Project Vitricore
A downloadable game for Windows
Project Vitricore – Subject 042: Escape the Tiny World
Trapped inside a sealed glass capsule in a collapsed high-security lab, you are Subject 042 — a miniaturized test subject in a hostile, radioactive micro world.
Solve environmental puzzles, avoid deadly drones and mutants, and activate the escape protocol before time runs out.
Explore three interconnected zones — reactor core, ruined village, and toxic river — all contained within a single glass dome.
Can you break the seal and reveal what's really outside?
Genre: First-Person Puzzle Survival
Theme: Tiny World – Big Danger
Playtime: ~10–15 minutes
Entering the code doesn't work with the numpad (use the top number keys instead).
To climb stairs, you currently have to press Space (jump).
Important
Unfortunately, the game was not quite finished. The final opponent is missing. I had a lot of plans. Except for a few trees and cars, I created all the models myself. If you are interested, I can finish the game as soon as the GameDev 2025 GameJam is over.
Still a work in progress. 🙂
Project VitricoreV1.0.01
Bugfixes:
-
A required file was missing in the executable, preventing the player from interacting.
-
Hits were not being registered when attacking with the crowbar while a monster was jumping.
-
Some items were hard to reach or fell through the mesh.
-
The puzzle at the pump station did not trigger the expected interaction.
-
Menu background positioning was corrected to fix issues on different screen resolutions.
Project VitricoreV1.0.02
Bugfixes:
-
Incorrect start level was set – the splash screen now loads properly
Hit flash was not triggered when an enemy was hit
-
NPC attack distance has been adjusted
There are still some areas that could be improved, but this is the current state.
If there’s interest in an improved version, I may release an update at a later time.
This was my first game made with the Godot Engine 4.4 and my first Game Jam.
I learned a lot – thanks to the GameDev team for organizing and inviting us to participate!
Best regards,
Denis
